Kirkwood Area – Eastern Cape: Our client is looking for a Technical Field Officer to join the team.

Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 as per the national senior certificate requirements (Umalusi endorsed)
• Additional tertiary qualification will be an advantage
• Applicable DALLRD (DAFF), AVCASA GLOBAL GAP and SIZA experience, in citrus fruit agriculture will be an advantage
• Knowledge of the citrus fruit agricultural industry
• Understanding of a pack house operation and market related requirements
• Valid driver’s license

KEY DUTIES

• Orchard information and statistics
• Harvest estimates, fruit delivery plans, fruit quality, quantity, variations and orchard test results
• Due diligence
• Producers list, spray records, Global Gap & SIZA, market requirements, chemical limitations, client records
• Market compliance
• Orchard registrations, Daff inspections, GGAP/SIZA audits, FMS/ FFMS/ CBS spot-checks, pre-harvest MRL.
• Assist with internal BRC Audits
• Arrange grower meetings
