Job Description

Overview

The Omnia Agriculture division’s range of specialised products and solutions are encompassed by its unique Nutriology® offering, which assists customers to optimize crop yield and quality. Development & Innovation is responsible for the development of new agronomic solutions as well as products which support the marketing team to drive sales.

Qualifications

A minimum of a B.Sc. Agricultural Science (or similar) Honours.

An M.Sc. in Agricultural sciences (or similar) will be an added advantage

Experience

3-5 years appropriate technical and team management experience

Experience in speciality fertilizer and bio stimulants product development

Track record of managing projects and achieving goals

Experience in managing field trials with a solid understanding of statistics and trial design.

Marketing experience

Excellent communication and analytical skills

Duties

Assist in strategic planning, development and packaging of defined products and concepts into agronomic solutions

Collect field data from clients

Market research (local and global trends)

Guide researchers in development of trial protocols, implementation of trials and reporting of results

Promotion support and writing of scientific and marketing articles

Develop and maintain the agronomic trial database

Working with the agronomic field team

Job Competencies

Sound knowledge of plant nutrition, plant physiology and soil chemistry

Excellent language skills (verbal and written) – Ability to speak in English and Afrikaans

Ability to work under pressure

Ability to lead and take initiative

Creative thinker and open to new ideas
