Job Description

Role purpose:


Perform complete, accurate, and timely month and financial year-end procedures in accordance with defined operating procedures, policies, and International Financial reporting standards (IFRS). Month-end and ad-hoc reporting will be a key part of the responsibilities. The individual will enjoy problem-solving and striving to improve the metric of the operational process.

Your responsibilities will include:


Intercompany

Intercompany transaction review and the preparation of group intercompany journals including multi-currency related transactions on a monthly basis, forecasts, interim and year-end.
Oversee the intercompany process of the entire group which includes conduct training, manage conflicts, direct others, implements decisions, enforcing policies and taking charge.


Month-end / Forecast
procedures.
Perform month end, financial year-end and forecast procedures in accordance with the financial calendar including the correction of entity data to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS accounting standards.
Preparation of relevant group reconciliations and analysis performed on a monthly basis, forecasts, interim and year-end within defined timelines,
Identify variances; correspond with peers as needed to resolve discrepancies.
Assist with the preparation of interim and annual financial statements which includes identifying disclosure discrepancies, inconsistencies, and errors and reviewing the accuracy of data included in the Group annual financial statements. This also includes proofreading, casting, and cross-checking of all data to supporting documents.


Other

Ad-hoc reporting
Preparation, analytical review and insights on various reports after month end submission
Provide support and improve relationship with internal and external stakeholders

The ideal candidate for this role will have:


B(Com) Accounting degree
3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of consolidation and IFRS accounting standards
Experience in Oracle Hyperion and SAP will be an advantage.

Competent level MS Office knowledge
