Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced senior Restaurant Manager for a 100-seater upmarket steakhouse in the Overberg Area.

The role is to oversee and manage the overall kitchen and front of house teams and operations.

We are looking for a hands-on individual with excellent communication and organisational skills, a leader, stable and able to perform under pressure.

Previous restaurant management experience in a similar environment is essential.

Minimum requirements:

  • Previous experience in managing busy restaurant operations (4- 6 years).
  • High attention to detail and process driven.
  • Able to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Customer and service centric.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Hands-on approach to day-to-day restaurant operations.
  • Overall responsibility for the front of house and kitchen teams to ensure quality, standards and controls are maintained.
  • Continued staff development and driving service standards.
  • Daily administrative and financial duties, and monthly reporting.
  • Regular presence on the restaurant floor during service to ensure smooth operations.
  • The management of all organizational certificates, Health and Safety…etc.

Remuneration R25 000 – R30 000 per month.

Start date 1 July 2022
