Requirements

• A relevant B degree or BTech degree
• Five (5) years’ working knowledge and experience in planning and

strategy formulation

• Strong proven research and report writing skills required
• Knowledge and understanding of all applicable legislation and

policies, governing the safety and security environment

• Networking and relationship building experiences
• Valid driver’s licence
• No criminal record.

Key Performance Areas

• Coordinate the development of strategies and policies.
• Support a safety and security related research capacity for the

Directorate.

• Develop and implement knowledge management and business

information initiatives

• Implement a wide range of specialised initiatives in support of the

strategic objectives

• Represent the Directorate at various Forums to ensure the

implementation and coordination of the Directorate’s strategic

plans, projects and processes

• Manage training and skills development and the transfer of skills

and knowledge.
