About the position

BTech/BSc Engineering Degree, Mechanical or Chemical
Engineering design experience on process related projects
Engineering work relating to process plants including studies, basic engineering, and detailed engineering.
Project and/or Packages management (Including budgeting)
Equipment commissioning
Pumps (Centrifugal, Progressive Cavity, Peristaltic)
Basic materials of construction
Flange and pipe fittings specifications
Storage tank design
Piping design
Valve specifications

Ensure project technical quality is in accordance with contract requirements and approved project design criteria.
Complete all work according to project schedule.
Ensure that the technical integrity and scope definition is maintained throughout the design, procurement, and construction activities, by maintaining close co-operation with those functions and advising the Project Manager if corrective action is needed.
Ensure that the project scope and quality requirements are clearly defined and agreed,and that change control procedures are adhered to.
Close out engineering work according to procedures and archive useful information gained and lessons learnt.
Ensure that all project engineering documentation and drawings are adequately prepared, filed, secured, and transmitted in accordance with project and company procedures.
Project planning, scheduling, costing, and technical assistance.
Generate scope of work documentation.
Request quotations from vendors and review specifications and costs.
Review vendor documentation in the form of schedules, datasheets, calculations,drawings, and fabrication procedures.
Technical adjudications on mechanical equipment.
Optimize application of new / existing [URL Removed] equipment selections (i.e. shafts, bearings, motors, gearboxes, chains & sprockets).
