Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

To manage Senior Funding Investments, invested through special purpose vehicles (SPV), in order to contribute to the achievement of the GPF strategic objectives.


KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

The incumbent is expected to deliver on the following detailed key performance areas:


  • Financial Management
    • Prepare Annual Financial statements (AFS) that are compliant with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Recognised Accounting Practice (GRAP) for medium size company
    • Ensure tax compliance with SARS
    • Prepare Quarterly Management Accounts in accordance with reporting standards
  • Audit management
  • Manage or facilitate an audit, internal and external of the company
  • Resolve audit queries
  • Ensuring no audit findings

3. Fund Investment Management

  • Financial modelling and Investment Restructuring Appraisals of loans
  • Valuation scoping for the Investment Restructuring of High-Risk Loans
  • Issuing of Term sheets as per approved terms for the Senior Funding Loans
  • Issuing of instructions for drafting of the funding agreements as per approved terms
  • Conduct periodic site visits to assess state/upkeep of the property
  • Issuing of loan account statements and reconciliations
  • Monitor terms and conditions of applicable agreements
  • Quarterly and Annual analysis of Borrower’s financial data
  • Prepare monthly Fund management report
  • Reporting Quarterly on Economic, Social and Governance (ESG) investment impact
  • Manage all operational receipts and payments
  • Manage capital reimbursement processes between the company and the GPF

APPOINTMENT REQUIREMENTS

      • Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Accounting (NQF Level 7)
      • A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a Portfolio Investment Officer level in the public or private sector – within a financial management environment.
