Job Description
Grade 12 with relevant Paralegal qualification
A minimum of 2 years relevant experience as a legal secretary, paralegal or similar role
Proven experience as a Paralegal preferably in a Legal environment
Regular interaction with Companys attorneys
Attend meetings with clients, attorneys and other professionals to discuss case details
Monitor any ongoing litigation and liaise with external legal advisors when required
Monitor and advise on relevant legislation impacting the company and ensure the business is kept abreast of new legislative developments
Maintain a professional and reliable electronic filing system for all legal contracts on the CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) filing system
Monitor and advise on relevant legislation impacting the Company Draft and prepare legal documents i.e contracts, addendums, letters, etc.
Annually update and maintain POPIA certificates and documents
Always acknowledge the importance of customer service and handle customers in a professional manner
Immediately report any defects in the building, equipment or any other safety concerns to the relevant manager
Attend to any other reasonable requests from management
Ensure adherence to all Statutory and legal requirements applicable to all activities
Deal skillfully with difficult and advanced telephone calls and receive and relay messages in a professional manner
Coordinate meetings and appointments when required
Attend to correspondence when required
Assist Executive Assistant on an ad hoc basis
