This career opportunity is available at SHA Risk Specialists a division of Santam for a PR, Brand & Marketing Specialist , who will be based in Johannesburg: Illovo. What will make you successful in this role?

Public Relations
Co-ordination of press releases and articles internally with product heads and company spokespeople.
Co-ordination and creation of monthly SHA newsletter to brokers
Co-ordination of advertising opportunities

Social Media
Monitoring of company social media accounts – Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
Posting regular updates to social media platforms whenever articles or press releases have been produced by SHA
Reporting to Manager of PR of any mentions of company and any requests for commentary.
Posting of “people issues” around national awareness holidays and CSI.

External Website (sha.co.za)
Updating of content including but not limited to press releases, product updates, training information and staff contact details.
Updating “upcoming training events” on website

Events and Training
Co-ordination of external events with service providers (venues, caterers, entertainment, photographers etc.)
Being present at marketing events in order to manage and oversee event as well as review +’s and –‘s to adapt future events.
Co-ordination of registration process at events where necessary
Managing list of invitees.
Scheduling of broker training sessions at SHA offices.
Arranging of catering and invitations at internal events.
Managing and updating of broker contact database.
Managing CPD accreditation process with the Financial Planning Institute.

Branding
Co-ordination of external design activities (MDOT or FiveToNine etc)
Ensuring that all division adhere to brand strategy on ongoing basis
Internal design of brochures

Content Creation
Managing central repository for presentations and assisting internal speakers with the creation of standardised, top notch content.
Filming and producing internal training content (for new staff on KIT, HR Processes and insurance training)

Corporate Gifts and Handouts
Liaison with external service providers to select and purchase branded materials for handing out to brokers and internal staff

Celebratory Awards Process (Long Service Awards, Weddings, Birth of Baby etc.)

Co-ordinate process which includes:
SHA announcement.
Vouchers for births, weddings and exits when required and as per the relevant policy What will make you successful in this role?

Employee Programmes
Implement and run Awareness Campaigns regarding Recognition Program Quarterly. This involves the Communiqués, Posters, Presentations, E-mails
Communications weekly regarding Staff nominated for Recognition Award.
Correlate data regarding awards presented and submitting to leadership at the end of the year for final Award to be chosen.
Strategise, develop, co-ordinate and implement processes and systems to improve and maintain the Corporate Culture and Staff Morale at SHA.
Co-ordinate, assist and manage the following internal staff engagement sessions / experiences. This is including but not limited to:
Teambuilding Days
Special Staff Event Days such as Valentine’s Day, Easter etc.
Staff Yearend function
Conceptualize and execute initiatives that speaks to the company’s obligation and the desire for staff to be involved in S-ED/CSI programmes.

Budget
Work with PR Manager and Business Heads to ensure adherence to budget

General Administration
Attend to all administration relating to the duties identified above and all other administration relevant day to day functions including typing of correspondence.
Engage with relevant stakeholders to support the execution of any of the above duties and responsibilities. Qualification and Experience

Appropriate tertiary qualification.
Min 3 years marketing and PR experience, experience within the insurance/ intermediary space. Knowledge and Skills
