My client within the manufacturing sector is looking for Cost and Management Graduate to join their team in Howick as a Junior Cost Accountant. The successful candidate must have great communication and strong interpersonal skills with sound independent judgement. Must have a valid license and own transport.

• BCom in Cost/Management Accounting.
• Willing to do their CIMA articles.

• Planning, studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labour.
• Identify main cost drivers.
• Develop cost-saving methods.
• Check up on results.
• Analyse changes in project design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, and determine effects on costs.
• Monitor product changes and inventions.
• Report on cost variances.
• Interact with Production Managers.
• Analyse actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Monitor production cost in categories (Material, direct and indirect).
• Show inefficiencies between standard and actual production costs.
• Support on management requests.
• Making estimates of new and proposed product costs.
• Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of product services.
• React to cost changes.
• Design a standard variance reporting.
• Maintaining cost accounting systems.
• Check correct cost in die ERP system.
• Update material and overhead costing.
• Clarify variances.
