Job Description

Job purpose;

NORFER Inc. is looking for an HR Manager to help the company grow by recruiting like-minded individuals who fit in the company’s culture, to help grow, develop and maintain the company culture, and to ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to. To help grow a department that will enable the company to keep employees happy, to keep the company happy and to assist in the overall growth of the company as a whole.

HR administration;

  • Ensure the consistent application of all HR policies and processes
  • Ensure proficiency in administrative management and techniques
  • Create a safe and inclusive work environment
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • Advise management on appropriate resolutions concerning employee relations issues.
  • Updating of policies and procedures
  • Drafting of employee contracts
  • Drafting of retraining of trades, letters of appointments and non-disclosure agreements
  • Filing and updating of personal files
  • Handling of performance appraisals
  • Performing skills audits
  • Performing culture audits
  • All administration surrounding disciplinary hearings
  • Skills development
  • Coordination and communication of training interventions and preparing for interventions when required
  • Consult, advise and guide management around best practices and labour legislation
  • Investigate grievances, appeals and CCMA referrals
  • Terminations
  • Issuing exit documents and conducting exit interviews

Recruitment;

  • To proactively and consistently deliver on the company’s strategies & operating plans in alignment with the initiatives of attracting & retaining scarce skills; and training and development plans to meet business needs. Advertising vacancies internally and externally, screening CVs
  • Receiving CVs and shortlisting candidates
  • Scheduling/preparing interviews
  • Conduct reference checks according to the prescribed format for all applicants recommended for employment.
  • Conducting interviews alongside Management
  • Correspondence with successful and unsuccessful candidates
  • Preparing offer letters
  • Handling onboarding of all new candidates

Payroll;

  • Performing all monthly payroll related administrative tasks; Sick leave, annual leave and study leave maintenance
  • Performing of monthly payroll calculations and finalisation of payslips

Experience and Education

  • B Degree in HR
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as HR manager
  • 5-7 years experience as an HR generalist with experience in overall HR administration
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in employee recruiting

Package and remuneration;

R20,000 – R25,000

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: R20,000.00 - R25,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Centurion, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

  • Bachelors (Required)

Experience:

  • Human resource management: 3 years (Required)
