About the position

• Overall leadership and guidance to the team on daily and monthly tasks
• Design, implementation and monitoring of KPI's
• Analysis, interpretation and reporting of month end results in all respects
• Engagement with Internal and External audit
• Engagement with internal and external stakeholders
• Build strong relationships with key customers and suppliers
• Support to sales, procurement and operational teams
• Direct support and supervision of debtor and creditor managers
• Ensure a proper internal control environment is maintained and continuously improved
• Provide CFO with weekly cash forecast updates in terms of collections and payments

Debtors:
1. Improve debtors receivable days
2. Monitoring cash collected in line with terms
3. Proactive customer interaction before month end to establish upfront any issues relating to short payment
4. Review reconciliation of key customer accounts
5. Review monthly provision for doubtful debts
6. Drive resolution and sign-off of disputed customer claims with key account managers
7. Pricing review on a daily basis to reduce credit notes
8. Compile monthly key reports for discussion with CFO
9. Ensure signoff monthly on all master data changes

Creditors
1. Ensure resolution of creditor accounts to ensure payment on time
2. Working with AP manager to ensure reconciliation of supplier accounts are done on time and accurate
3. Ensure timely resolution of supplier account queries
4. Improve interaction and cohesion between the AP team and manufacturing sites
5. Review payment batches
6. Ensure signoff monthly on all master data changes
7. Ensure monthly clearance of fx transport suspense accounts
8. Compile monthly key reports for discussion with CFO
