Job Description

Primary Purpose

Provide systems support functions to the business as a whole, improving IT efficiency and company productivity. Responsible for

remote and on-site setup and support of IT software, hardware and infrastructure.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Matric, A+, N+
  • MCSA (ideal)

Experience

1-2 years' experience within a large desktop

environment

3 years' experience within a large desktop environment

Project Management (ideal)

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to :

FINANCE

Manage petrol cards and costs

CUSTOMER CENTRICITY

Service excellence

  • Levels and quality of service delivery as experienced by internal and external stakeholders
  • Interprets business / customer requirements in order to provide timeous solutions
  • Responsiveness : timeous response, reaction and turnaround time
  • Output results from client servicing activities, including value of advice to customer and / or stakeholders

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

Internal processes

  • Respond to all customer calls
  • Manage closure of Helpdesk calls
  • Install and move IT equipment, reporting of faults to Helpdesk and follow up
  • Manage all aspects of branch projects (branch opening, closure, moves and renovations)
  • Setup, testing and support the audio-visual equipment
  • Setup, testing and support of network infrastructure
  • Ensure all maintenance, installations and upgrades are done according to company standards
  • Rollout and implementation of software and hardware products
  • Testing of products
  • After hours support
  • Maintain IT visibility in the branches by regular branch visits
  • Remote support
  • Provide an interface between the user and IT department
  • Provide basic IT training to staff

ORGANISATIONAL LEARNING

  • Actively coach, train and empower internal and external team members to create an understanding of skills and specialties
  • Close interaction between all members of IT to ensure that requests are dealt with accurately and efficiently
  • Take ownership for driving own career
  • Development of knowledge base and intellectual property

  • Strong computer skills
  • Proficient in Windows desktop operating systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Productivity Software
  • Industry knowledge
  • Trend Antivirus updates
  • Windows updates
  • Printer maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Network troubleshooting
  • Building of workstations
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to absorb information quickly and then train users
