Job Responsibilities
  • Understanding customer needs and insights in order to determine customer needs and market trends.
  • Designing and developing customer and product value propositions that are based in customer needs and behaviour that optimize both customer value and customer experience across our target segments.
  • Ensuring that the CVP's resonate with the customers' needs and with commercial imperatives.
  • Driving customer centricity principles through CVP design and implementation.
  • Monitoring, analysing and articulating competitor activity and emerging market trends to inform the CVPs and ensure the designs remain competitive and up to date.
  • Leveraging analytics, MI and Customer Experience to build a fact-based understanding of customer needs and use this insight to support or disprove particular areas of prioritization, focus and courses of action.
  • Working with Analytics, Finance, and commercial modelling colleagues to transform selected CVPs into quantitative models.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders in the wider Nedbank Group; Solution Innovation, Business Banking, Private Clients, Corporate & Investment Banking and Africa Regions.
  • Participate in the development of the Nedbank Private Wealth Banking CVP strategic plan on an annual basis.
People Specification
  • Leading and ensuring the implementation of the segment customer value proposition by country from end to end.
  • Generating business plans in support of the CVPs.
  • Develop a product strategy aligned to business strategy to ensure business growth and sustainability.
  • Building consensus across Nedbank Limited in respect of the CVP design, delivery and institute governance structures as necessary to ensure CVP related efforts are aligned and remain relevant.
  • Facilitating forums for effective collaboration with other key stakeholders, Retail Business Banking.
  • Sharing best practices and L&D initiatives to ensure that the frontline staff are conversant with the CVPs and the implications thereof.
  • Participate in the annual pricing review for the transactional banking portfolio for Nedbank Private Wealth.
  • Presentations to various internal forums/steercos
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Essential Qualification Honours Degree in Commerce: Marketing, Business Management, Information Systems, Finance Essential Certifications Preferred Certifications Minimum Experience Level
  • 3 – 7 years in an analytical, strategic and/or product management environment
